Welcome to Dud evi in Dalyan!

Dud Evi is the Turkish name for our small cottage that we've restored from an old Turkish house into our "Mulberry House". The Mulberry House has a huge, you guessed it, Mulberry tree in front of it, providing nice shade to the terrace that overlooks the wild garden

However, the old Turkish house spirit is still tangible, a perfect combination of nowadays comfort with the old traditional quality of building and style. A family bathroom and toilet are separated from the kitchen. The double bedroom has an ensuite facility, next to that is the twin bedroom. The large open plan living space has a kitchen with all necessary facilities (gas hob, kettle etc). The living area has comfortable sitting cushions and a fire place (all original), perfect for a chilly night to read a book!

From the area between the kitchen and the living you can walk on the large terrace with a great view over the garden and the stunning mountains!

Please be aware that we don't have air conditioning in our house. It is not actually necessary due to the traditional style of the building, with its very thick walls which keeps it cool. We also don't have a pool but there are plenty of options for swimming in Dalyan!

Mulberry House is in the country side of Dalyan, on the Arik Basi Road which has a connection with the road to the beach.

Our Story:

Dalyan is our second home  and we just love the traditional setting here. We like to be out there meeting the locals in the surrouding Turkish houses, with local families. We have tried to combine comfort with a traditional Turkish life style.

Therefore, our sitting area outside, the kosk, is made by the carpenter next door. Fresh milk, eggs and butter can be supplied by the other neighbours, of course home made and fresh every day! We hope you enjoy it as much as us.
